The high school girls basketball games with Fulton have been cancelled. There will not be a game next Tuesday. Fulton has cancelled all of there non conference games because not being able to field a varsity team. Unfortunately none of the numerous teams contacted to fill the spot had Jan 17th open or were already maxed out with their schedule in keeping with IHSA rules.
On Friday February 3, WACC will be hosting a Union Day for high school students to hear from six local union representatives regarding career opportunities with the various unions in northwestern Illinois. If your student is interested in attending please have them stop in the high school office to sign up.

Congratulations to the varsity Scholastic Bowl team for winning all three of its matches in the Three Rivers Conference event at Mendota High School on Monday, January 9. Morrison defeated Mendota (240-220), Riverdale (290-200), and Orion (320-130). Morrison’s varsity team consisted of Dylan Anderson, Zayden Boonstra, Lisa (Nara) Hardesty, Violet Mills, Grace Onken, Evan Peddicord, and Blaine Williams. Well done, Morrison!
With the start of the 2nd Semester, here is a reminder to high school parents and students on how to access Parchment in order to send formal transcripts to schools.
Tomorrow night's high school girls basketball game with Newman has been adjusted due to Newman's low numbers. The Varsity game will start at 5:30 pm. Following the varsity game there will be a 15 minute running clock JV game.
Tomorrow night's high school boys basketball game at Erie has been adjusted. The F/S will play at 4:30 pm followed by a JV game and the varsity game to follow at approximately 7:15 pm.
This Wednesday, January 11, the high school freshmen, sophomore, and junior students will be taking the MAPs Winter Benchmark test. Senior students will be engaged in a workshop hosted by the Sauk Valley Chamber of Commerce where they will be learning about career pathways in various industries as well as the critical essential skills that employers are looking for. There will be several small group and large group activities for the students to participate in. Morrison students will not attend WACC on Wednesday and should plan on attending the scheduled activity dependent of their class status.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, 6th grade girls basketball practice for today has been canceled. 5th, 7th and 8th grade still have practice.

Chromebook order pickup is ending at 11AM today due to deteriorating road conditions. We will be back on Tuesday, 12/27 at 7AM!
If you placed an order for Chromebooks, today is your last chance to pick them up before Christmas! We will be here from now until 12:00PM! Please use the front doors of the High School and follow the signs down the stairs to the technology office.
