For those who purchased playoff t-shirts/hoodies they will be available for pick up tomorrow evening from 6:00-7:00pm on the south side of the school at the weight room entrance.

Saturday at 1:00 pm the Varsity football team will play at Ottawa Marquette in the first round of the playoffs. Ticket prices are set by the IHSA and are 5.00 per person. Ottawa will open the gates at 11:00 am and Morrison fans are asked to sit on the South side of the stadium. We have also been advised to tell our fans not to park St. George St as vehicles have been towed in the past. The game will be streamed on the NFHS Network.
MJHS will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair running next week 10/31-11/4. Stop by the junior high library when the book fair is open to purchase books and support the MJHS library. Students will have the opportunity to come to the book fair during the school day with their English classes.

Thursday, November 3, 1:00-7:00 (during parent/teacher conferences)

Congratulations to Northside Elementary for earning an exemplary designation from the Illinois State Board of Education. Designations are based on several factors including assessment scores, attendance, and climate surveys.

Congratulations to the Varsity football team for making the 2022 football playoffs. We will play Ottawa Marquette on Saturday October 29th at 1:00 pm at Ottawa Marquette High School. They will send me the agenda on Monday for ticket sales etc. It looks like they will be selling tickets the day of the event with no presale tickets. Congratulations to Evan Scott for qualifying to the Cross Country Sectional Tournament. Sectionals will be hosted by Oregon High School next Saturday with the Boy's running at 2:00 pm. Evan qualified by running at time of 17:36. Good Job Evan and Good Luck next weekend!!!

On Monday, Northside teachers and staff participated in “Teacher Jean Jacket Day”!
Stockton informed me this evening that they do have 3 levels for High School Volleyball. So tomorrow's High School volleyball game will start at 5:00 pm instead of 6:00 pm. The games will be played at Stockton High School.
Morrison State Farm agency owner Angie VanderVinne met with students in Morrison High School’s Driver Education classes on Thursday, Oct. 13 to discuss auto insurance as well as steps to take in the aftermath of an automobile collision. Students in the course presented Mrs. VanderVinne with a signed poster expressing their thanks for her willingness to take time away from the office to share her insurance expertise in the classroom.
Morrison Junior High 8th graders took a field trip to Sauk Valley Community College to experience the various career opportunities in our area. They were able to walk around and talk with many experts about possible career paths, requirements, and descriptions of several different jobs.
