As red ribbon week ends, Southside took the opportunity to celebrate our coloring contest winners this morning. Your future is KEY! BE DRUG FREE!
A huge shout out to our Southside Elementary School families. We had an overwhelming response to our request for donations for care packages. We were able to send several packages to some service members who are currently deployed, as well as to some who are stationed far from home. My students enjoyed sorting and assembling the packages. Thank you all for your support for this project.
Sincerely,
Susan Wilkens

Last year, because of COVID, vehicles were not allowed to pull into the MJHS/Southside parking lot and turn right to drop off their junior high student(s). However, since all students are now able to enter and exit the front of the building, students may be dropped off in the loop. If you are dropping off or picking up junior high students only, please enter the parking lot, turn right, and proceed down one of the two marked lanes to drop off/pick up your student(s). Hopefully this will help alleviate some of the congestion in the morning and afternoon.

MCUSD #6 is finalizing it’s on-site COVID testing procedures for students and staff. Earlier today a message was sent out notifying staff and students of areas in the High School parking lot that are going to be used as part of those procedures. The district apologizes for any confusion this message may have caused.
The district will begin its own on-site testing for unvaccinated staff members in alignment with the Governor’s mandate. In the near future, on-site testing for symptomatic students and staff will be available. As the start date for this part of the District’s on-site testing nears, procedures and information will be sent out to district parents.
Beginning Mon. 11/1 there will be no parking allowed by students and/or staff along the Northeast strip of lot by the pool ramp fence line. These spaces have been made the designated location for the district’s drive up COVID testing.
