On Oct 8th when the varsity football team travels to Orion they will be hosting their Tackle Cancer night. This has been a tradition for several years and a worthy fundraiser. Having attended this event in the past they do a great job and have raised some much needed money for those families effected by cancer in the area.

The F/S football game on Monday 9-20 with Hall has been cancelled. Hall does not have a F/S team and a replacement team could not be found.

Morrison High School’s Scholastic Bowl team competed in a taped episode of Bergstrom’s Stateline Quiz Bowl on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Nordlof Center in downtown Rockford. The quiz show program features students from schools across northwest Illinois buzzing in to answer questions on a wide range of subjects, including literature, science, math, history, mythology, current events, and other topics.
Morrison’s team consisted of Aaron Freeman, Lisa Hardesty, Adam Neumann, Zayden Boonstra, Rowan Onken, and Sarah Stralow. The episode will air on WTVO-TV in Rockford in mid-November.

The football field address for tonight is 500 S.Sunny Lane in Monmouth. The field is not at the school. We were not aware of that until 5 minutes ago.

Several teachers came out to cheer on the football, cheer, pons, and band members . Many more were there, but picture shy!

Hall Township High School does not have a F/S football team to play for our home game on Sept 20th. We are currently working on finding a replacement team. If no team can be found the game will have to be cancelled.

Last night's cancelled golf meet has been rescheduled for Wednesday September 22nd. The meet will be at Highland Springs Golf Course starting at 4:00 pm

On September 8th, Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will be testing most of the day (1:05 dismissal). Seniors will not need to be in attendance but are encouraged use the time away to visit a college or participate in a job shadow.

Tomorrow's Varsity girls swim meet at the Duis Center will start at 4:30 pm instead of 5:00 pm.
