Zeus is retiring! The 2021 Mythology class poses with incoming election results as they end their campaigns for a new leader of Mt. Olympus.
Registration has begun for the 2021-2022 school year! Current high school students have all of the forms. Registration for incoming freshmen is scheduled for Wed., Feb. 17. A student meeting will be that morning at the jr high and a parent meeting at 6:00pm in the high school.
The IHSA and IDPH have once again adjusted the rules regarding fans in attendance at home events. MHS is not going to allow fans at this weeks contests. We are in the process of determining the best practice to allow some fans into our home events starting the week of Feb 15th. Once it is determined how we can follow the new guidelines and safely allow fans into the events we will share that information. All of our home events will be streamed on the NFHS network.
Due to hazardous road conditions forecasted for tomorrow, MCUD #6 will have a remote learning day tomorrow Friday February 5, 2021. There will not be a WACC or Thome bus.

Basketball games will begin next week starting February 8th for the girl's team and February 9th for the boys. Football will be able to start practice on March 3rd and Volleyball on March 8th. As the other seasons approach practice start times and schedules will be posted on the school calendar.
With the interrupted schedule tomorrow’s lunch will be chicken fajitas.
As a reminder, weather permitting MCUD #6 will be IN PERSON tomorrow, with a 1:05 dismissal time. There will be NO PreK program tomorrow.

Due to forecasted hazardous conditions tomorrow morning Morrison Schools will be closed tomorrow (1/26/2021). This will be a snow day NOT a remote day. Wednesday (1/27/2021) will now be an in-person day.
MCUD #6 will be dismissing a half hour early today due to potentially dangerous road conditions late this afternoon. NS will dismiss at 1:55 and all other schools will dismiss at 2:05. There will be no afternoon practices.

Responsibilities would likely include reinforcing lessons in one-on-one or small group settings as well as assisting students/teachers with organizational and/or clerical tasks. For the second time in four years, the MCUSD 6 libraries have won the Illinois State Library Back to Books Grant! Southside Library has received $1300 in new fun and interesting nonfiction titles (130 new books), and they are shelved and ready to check out!

Morrison High School’s Scholastic Bowl team competed in a taped broadcast of Bergstrom’s Stateline Quiz Bowl on Sunday, Jan. 17 at the Nordlof Center in downtown Rockford.
