In ELA this quarter, 6th graders have been studying how design thinking can be used to solve critical problems. For some "Twos-day" fun, they used the design thinking process to create the tallest tower possible using up to 22 pieces of spaghetti and 22 marshmallows. Jovie Patton and Paisley VanZuiden designed and built the tallest tower, which was 27 inches!
Skylar Drolema has qualified for the IHSA State Swim meet at the FMC Natatorium in Westmont this weekend. There will be a send off tomorrow at 1:00 pm from the front of the high school. He and the team will be leaving Thursday morning for the event.

Congratulations to Morrison High School’s Scholastic Bowl team for its fourth-place finish at the Masonic Sectional Tournament at Prophetstown High School on Saturday, Feb. 19. Morrison’s team consisted of Aaron Freeman, Mark Cyphers, Blaine Williams, Zayden Boonstra, Rowan Onken, Dylan Anderson, and Lisa Hardesty.

Morrison's Skylar Drolema is on two state bound relays. 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay
They cut 3.43 seconds in the 200 medley relay with Skylar swimming butterfly.
They cut 2.5 seconds in the 200 free relay for a first place Sectional finish.

Kayden White won his first match at the state tournament. Unfortunately he lost his second match Thursday night. Nate Schaeffer lost his first match Thursday afternoon. Both wrestlers will be in today's wrestle backs and can still earn a third place finish. Nate will wrestle around noon today while Kayden's first match should be around 2:30. The High Schools Boys Basketball team will play in the first round of Regionals Saturday at Eastland (Lanark). Tip off for the game is set for 2:00 pm.
The Morrison Mustangs won a close, competitive game against Oregon HS by a score of 44-41 during Morrison High School’s Senior Night on Tuesday, Feb. 15. Seniors Isaac Melton, Braxton Houzenga, Aaron Freeman, Ethan Wiebenga, David Stralow, Beau Brackemeyer, Mason Dykstra, Trey Strating, Alex Anderson, Jakob Dykema, and Noah Scott gathered for a photo following the game.
