The outside camera for the NFHS network is not functioning at this time. There are a couple of problems and a new camera has been ordered. It will not be delivered in time for the last few football games of the season. For Saturday's game the athletic boosters have offered to use their Facebook page or a youtube channel to view the game. I am including two separate links to use on Saturday, as this is trial and error for right now but one of the two will have this weekends game.

Congratulations to Southside Elementary for earning an Exemplary designation from the Illinois State Board of Education. An exemplary designation means that Southside was in the top 10% of all schools in areas such as academic performance, attendance, student growth, fine arts, and career college readiness. This is the second time that Southside has earned this designation.

The District has been in contact with an officer from the Illinois Conservation Police who has informed us that the presence of a mountain lion near the southern edge of town does NOT pose a threat to our students. Therefore, the district will resume regular activities immediately and dismissal today will be as normal.
