Officer Dan Simmons, School Resource Officer for the Morrison schools, spent some time on the Driver Ed beat on Friday, Dec. 10 during a visit to Morrison High School’s Per. 1 & 2 Driver Education classes. Officer Simmons discussed relevant laws for teens; identified high-risk intersections in the Morrison area; offered winter driving advice; provided guidance regarding traffic stops; fielded questions from students; and encouraged students to become safe, responsible drivers.
Miss Bennett’s 2nd grade class just finished a math unit over place value. To review, we had a Place Value Party! We popped balloons that had practice problems inside each of them, wore party hats, and even celebrated with cookies!
Thank you to Chief Melton for sharing with the MJHS 3rd hour careers class about careers in law enforcement.

Tomorrow night's home High School wrestling meet will be a dual with LeWin only. The start time will still be 5:30 pm. Amboy will not be attending the meet due to shutting down their wrestling team for two weeks.

Tonight's High School Boys swim meet has been cancelled. They will have and inter-squad meet during practice instead.
Tuesday's High School Girls basketball game with Milledgeville has been cancelled. Milledgeville does not have enough girls to field a team tomorrow night. At this time there has not been a make up date determined.
Tomorrow night's High School Girls Basketball game at Milledgeville will be a varsity only game with a 6:00 pm tip-off. Milledgeville does not have enough girls to play two levels.
