Northside's neighbors on Cherry are participating in Spirit Week as well!
The 2021 homecoming parade will be held Friday, October 1st at 3:00pm. The parade will start on W. Wall Street proceed to Genesee Street heading back to the high school. The map shows where line up will take place and the route. If your group or organization is participating in the parade please be lined up by 2:45.

F/S football change: Tuesday Oct 12th's F/S football game has been moved to Monday Oct 11th. The start time will still be 5:30 pm.
A Google Form was sent to all Seniors via email to collect and share information regarding Senior Nights. Please encourage your Senior to complete this as soon as possible if they participate in a fall sport. They may also submit photos for the Senior athlete slideshow to katie.rodriguez@morrisonschools.org.
Saturday's High School swim invite will be streamed by Freeport. Once I have the streaming link I will share it. With current mitigations Freeport's pool area can not accommodate all the teams involved and fans. So spectator's will not be allowed into the swim invite this weekend.

Sergeant Mays and Specialist Hudson visited Morrison High School's American Government classes on Wednesday, Sept. 15 to discuss opportunities to advance one's skills and serve one's community and country in the Illinois Army National Guard. Morrison High School thanks Sergeant Mays and Specialist Hudson for their service!
The Morrison School District along with Morrison Police department are investigating incidents of Vandalism/ Criminal Mischief at Morrison High School and Junior High. The current issues are stemming from a social media challenge called ‘Devious Lick,’ which encourages students to destroy bathrooms and steal obscure things from school. Parents/Guardians, we are asking for your support to discuss the seriousness of these actions with your child and encourage them to report this behavior.

On Oct 8th when the varsity football team travels to Orion they will be hosting their Tackle Cancer night. This has been a tradition for several years and a worthy fundraiser. Having attended this event in the past they do a great job and have raised some much needed money for those families effected by cancer in the area.

The F/S football game on Monday 9-20 with Hall has been cancelled. Hall does not have a F/S team and a replacement team could not be found.
Morrison High School’s Scholastic Bowl team competed in a taped episode of Bergstrom’s Stateline Quiz Bowl on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Nordlof Center in downtown Rockford. The quiz show program features students from schools across northwest Illinois buzzing in to answer questions on a wide range of subjects, including literature, science, math, history, mythology, current events, and other topics.
Morrison’s team consisted of Aaron Freeman, Lisa Hardesty, Adam Neumann, Zayden Boonstra, Rowan Onken, and Sarah Stralow. The episode will air on WTVO-TV in Rockford in mid-November.
